“Kev's Got You Covered” follows The Kennedy Law Firm to the National Trial Lawyers Summit's Top 100 in Miami, where it won the Golden Gavel Award for Best Social Media Ad. The prize honored Kevin Kennedy's TikTok campaign — which had drawn 1.6 million followers — conceived by Sarah Sumpter after a trip to the prior year's awards. Judges show 100 randomly chosen people a set of ads and ask which lawyer they'd hire; Kennedy's won. He admits he still doesn't know much about TikTok, but frames it the way he frames a career in television and radio: you spend your whole life preparing for a moment.
“Painting With a Purpose” profiles the artist Kitty and ABUN, where no money changes hands — the works exist strictly to give. In 2022 the Artists for Conservation named her an internationally renowned artist and conservation leader with its top honor, the Simon Combes Conservation Artist Award, and in 2023 invited her to be one of four featured artists on the AFC's 25th Annual Alaskan Cruise.
The Montgomery County Republican Party held its annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, an evening of social hour, dinner and remarks from local leaders, with newly elected MCTNGOP Chairman Doug Englen joined by featured speakers U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn and U.S. Congressman Mark Green. Handbags for Hope, meanwhile, drew more than 600 supporters to a High Tea fundraiser built around donated designer bags in honor of survivors and those no longer with us.
